Welcome Home

What a trip!  We were blessed that Grace did so well. Prayer really does have an affect (James 5:16b).    When we boarded the first flight out of Hong Kong she got really scared again. She was shaking all over and crying as we found our seats on that 747...a huge intimidating aircraft for even an adult!  A couple of the stewardesses came over to us and offered Grace a fruity Mentos and that did it!  She hushed right up.  It's amazing how even the smallest of gestures can sometimes bring calm to an anxious heart.

Three flights and about 21 hours later we were all clapping and squealing...we were about to land in Birmingham, Alabama!!  Grace didn't eat much on the trip and probably only slept about 4 hours. She was exhausted but had her BIG smile on and was ready to meet her brothers, sisters, family and friends waiting at the airport.  We were SO blessed to have Aunt Marilyn there to capture the moment with these pictures…

Such a happy moment.  Home at last!  God bless all of you who prayed us home.  The Lord is so good and so faithful.  Praying Grace finds comfort and peace as she begins her new life.

"Rise up, O LORD, in all Your power.  With music and singing we celebrate Your mighty acts." (Psalm 21:13)
