We had a really good time even though the weather was rainy almost the whole trip. We felt so bad because Tyler and Nate both got strep throat while we were there too. And Abbey got sick the day before we left.
Ms. Georgia Mae faired just fine, however!
She is the best baby and such a doll!
Nate is growing like crazy! He looks like he's ready for school and he's not even 3 yet.
Grammy got to go with us too.
So glad we were able to be together again!
It seems like lately my patience has been short and I've been ill-tempered. Ever have days like that? I've had to have several conversations with the Lord about it and then I read James, chapter 1 again…
"Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way."
I really want my "true colors" to honor the Lord and often they don't. But, I'm so grateful for His kindness that leads me to repentance (Romans 2:4). When I get off track I run to Him and find arms open wide. I hope you have that too.
Well, it's back to work on Monday. The past twelve weeks have flown by and it's with very mixed emotions that I'll hop in my SUV and trek north on 65 to meet the challenge. However, I'm extremely grateful for my job and I know that the Lord led me there and He has plans for me that are good. So, let this next season begin. The best is yet to come!
