She said "Jesus!"

Grace said "Jesus" for the first time tonight!!  I was putting her down and reading the story, "The Crippled Lamb" by Max Lucado to her.  If you haven't read it, it's about a little lamb who was different and often sad and lonely because he couldn't run and jump like the other sheep.  It turns out he was left behind while the flock went on an excursion and he ended up in the stable the night baby Jesus was born keeping Him warm with his wooly coat (I love Max!!).  Grace loves babies and quickly started saying "baby" and "Mama" pointing to the pictures as I read.  Then after hearing me read about baby Jesus she said it on her own pointing to the baby in the picture, "Jesus!"  It was precious!!

We went back to physical therapy this afternoon and she had a good workout.  We came home with more exercises to do to strengthen her weak leg muscles.  She formed some bad habits pre-surgery compensating for her hip pain that we're trying to correct.  She's come a long way in two weeks but we still have a long way to go.

Although it's sometimes frustrating when her strong will is against me, I'm so blessed to have these days with her one on one.  I keep reminding myself they won't last long so I'm soaking it all in...
