Look at you! How much you’ve grown and changed this year! Not JUST physically but mentally…how much you’ve learned and memorized and have been challenged to retain, and build on, and use. You just finished your first year in school and made the honor roll, you big girl!! You've made so many new friends and you’re learning how to be a friend.
You’ve come so far...emotionally, learning to trust and depend on people...and you’ve learned so much spiritually, so many stories and prayers and Sunday School lessons and messages and songs. It’s mama’s prayer that just like Jesus you will continue to grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). Thank you to SO many people who have planted and sown into your life this year. You will never be 8 again, but now you’re 9 and we have this year ahead!
I want to be a better Mom to you this year than I was last. Forgive me for being impatient at times and expecting too much too soon. Love is patient, love is kind…I want to live like that! Because, "…the only thing that counts is FAITH expressing itself in LOVE" (Galatians 5:6). I’m believing God for miracles in your life again this year. I believe you will jump one day, you will hop one day and you will run one day like all your friends and like you already do on the inside.
You are a precious gift and I hope as we've celebrated this day you feel as special as you are. I love you more every day. Mom
