Remember back in one of my February posts, Tyler was promoted to Corporal. Here's a couple of shots from that day!!
It's hard to imagine a ceremony like this right out in the middle of the desert!
His friend Justin Decker is doing the honors of pinning on his new badge.
Tyler said he became friends with this boy and they would try to teach each other how to speak the others' language.
This was at one of the memorial services for a fallen marine. It was Tyler's responsibility on several occasions to pick the music
and get the sound equipment ready for the services.
Well, he's home! And oh the joy that floods my soul (as the old song says)! I really cannot articulate how good it is to know he's home and safe. And I could never thank the Lord enough (nor all of you reading that have prayed for him) for answering our prayers! God is faithful. I was reminded of the power of prayer again recently after reading Genesis 18 when Abraham prayed for God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah (because his nephew Lot lived there). Well, as it turned out, God did have to destroy the cities but it says in chapter 19, verse 29, "So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, He remembered Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the cities where Lot had lived." God hears us when we pray!
