God is SO good! We have so much to thank Him for. I want to share a couple of verses a precious friend shared with me a few days ago that I've prayed along with her for Tyler...
"God listened to Abraham's request and kept Lot safe, removing him from the disaster that engulfed the cities on the plain." Genesis 19:29 (NLT)
What comfort the Word of God will bring if we'll just take it in and let it abide in us! And, I love this thought a little earlier in the chapter...
"When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the LORD was merciful." Genesis 19:16 (NLT)
His mercy endures FOREVER!!!
Thank you all for your prayers for Tyler. This past week was a huge hurdle to jump as we prayed without knowing any details for Tyler's safety. The end of the week, we were blessed to "SEE HIS FACE" on Skype and know he was okay!!! You do not know what that did for me!!! I am so blessed to live in the 21st century and have that kind of technology at my fingertips!! All I can say is, "thank You, Jesus!" And Tyler says "thank you" to all who are praying and asks that we keep it up. No greater gift is given...
The number ten (10) biblically refers to "testimony". May 2010 be the Year of the Testimony. May it go down in history as a year we are not ashamed to testify of the goodness of our God. Revelation 12:11 says, they (the people of God) overcame him (to conquer, to carry off the victory; to prevail against the power of their foes, temptations and persecutions) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony!" May we testify of His unfailing love as we live out our trust in Him....day by day. I recently read a quote by Annie Dillard, who once said, "How we live our days is...how we live our lives." I want to live each day abandoned to the Lover of my soul. He alone is the peace Giver. He alone can satisfy my longings. He can do what we cannot; and He can be where we cannot. So, we trust Him with our cares...day by day.
Trust Him today...
