I'm in the last few hours of a visit with Tyler & Abbey and having such a good time. We brought Caleb to see him before he leaves for college in Sydney. We have had a really great time but as always it has gone by way too fast!
I read this verse yesterday..."I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws." (Psalm 119:106) I love it, and the first thing that came to my mind was "Lord, let that be true of me and my descendants." Isn't that a great verse to pray? An oath is a pretty serious thing in scripture. Today, it's so easy to break a promise and it's most of our experience far more often than not. That's what makes knowing and following God so absolutely amazing! He NEVER breaks a promise. I love Nehemiah 1 that says, "O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant of love with those who love Him and obey His commands." (verse 5)
